SLC CIMO Head completes international CommTECH Camp Highlight 2026 in Indonesia

Saint Louis College (SLC) College Information and Marketing Office (CIMO) Head, Ms. Viviene Aisha Gugol-Baker, successfully completed the two-week CommTECH Camp Highlight 2026 Stream 1: Creative Design, held from July 20 to 31, 2026, in Surabaya, Indonesia. Her participation was made possible through the international mobility initiatives of the SLC Global Affairs Office (GAO).

Hosted by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), this innovative program provided an immersive deep dive into creative design and visual communication. Utilizing a Project-Based Learning (PbL) approach under the theme “Solving Local Problems with Global Knowledge,” the 12-day camp empowered participants through interactive workshops, seminars, and hands-on collaborative activities focused on design thinking, user-centered design, digital media, and sustainable design practices.

Joining delegates from diverse countries—including Cambodia, South Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Finland, Vietnam, Thailand, and China—Ms. Baker actively collaborated on practical design solutions while immersing herself in cross-cultural knowledge sharing.

Highlighting her exposure during the program, Ms. Baker was featured in an interview by JTV (Jawa Pos Media Televisi), East Java’s leading regional news network, during their official site visit. In the interview, she shared insights on her learning experience and personal impressions about the network.

This global exposure provided an invaluable opportunity for SLC to expand its academic networks, embrace international best practices in visual communication, and continuously connect with the broader global community.
