A five-member delegation from Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) has arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, to advance the institution’s internationalization initiatives and strengthen its partnership with Saint Xavier College, an institutional partner of SLC-SFLU. They were welcomed by the officials of the partner institution where they were greeted with genuine Nepalese hospitality.
The delegation is headed by Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM, PhD, President of SLC-SFLU, together with Dr. Leo Esteene L. Galap, Director of Global Affairs; Dr. Shari Maro R. Raposas, Head of the Department of Languages; Mr. Niño Randy C. Flores, Head of the Research Management Office; and Ms. Shekalaine C. Agurin, Faculty Member of the Basic Education Schools.
During their stay, the delegates will conduct InteLect (International Lecture) sessions for students of Saint Xavier College and participate in iSHARE (International Sharing and Benchmarking) sessions focused on the exchange of institutional practices and experiences along instruction, research, and extension.
The delegation will also engage in various networking sessions with delegates from 13 different countries, providing opportunities to build connections, explore potential collaborations, and strengthen SLC-SFLU’s global academic network.
As a highlight, SLC-SFLU will co-host the International Conference of Saint Xavier College (ICSXC) 2026. As co-hosts, members of the delegation will contribute through research presentations, a keynote presentation, and service as chairs of the plenary sessions.
The visit reflects SLC-SFLU’s continuing commitment to meaningful international partnerships, global academic engagement, and opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and knowledge exchange.
