Saint Louis College–San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU), led by its President, Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM, PhD, participated in the 2026 Governance Assembly of the CICM Philippine Schools Network (PSN) held from July 8 to 10, 2026 at Dohera Hotel, Mandaue City, Cebu.
Leaders from six CICM institutions across the Philippines gathered at Saint Louis College–Cebu to realign their shared vision. Guided by the theme, “Embodying and Advancing the Beautiful CICM Mission,” the annual meet served as a collaborative hub for delegates from Saint Louis University–Baguio, University of Saint Louis–Tuguegarao, Saint Mary’s University–Bayombong, Saint Louis College–San Fernando, Maryhill School of Theology, and the host school, SLC–Cebu. Together, they mapped out strategic plans to keep quality, faith-driven education at the forefront of their respective campuses.
The three-day assembly kicked off with a welcome dinner aimed at fostering fellowship among delegates. Rev. Fr. Villamar, CICM, who serves as the PSN Chair, presided over the opening Eucharistic Celebration and led the presentation of the network’s accomplishments. A major highlight of the event was the keynote session, “Digital Shepherding,” presented by Fr. Raymond Joseph L. Arre, which explored the Church’s evolving mission in the digital age. This was followed by interactive cluster meetings where delegates from member institutions engaged in collaborative planning, culminating in the presentation and approval of action plans designed to guide the network’s future initiatives.
The assembly concluded with a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Philip A. Yu, Jr., CICM of Saint Mary’s University, followed by the closing program. Through shared vision, meaningful dialogue, and collective action, the gathering reinforced the network’s dedication to excellence in Catholic education and service to society.
