SLC-SFLU, SLCNTSA seal 2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement

Strengthening benefits and workplace conditions for non-teaching personnel, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the Saint Louis College Non-Teaching Staff Association (SLCNTSA) and Saint Louis College – San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) was signed today, July 22, 2026, at the SLC Café Luis.
The ceremonial signing was witnessed by the SLC Management Council, led by College President Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM, PhD, and SLCNTSA officers, led by Union President Mrs. Josephine D. Ordoño.
Negotiations started on June 2, 2026, and concluded successfully on June 30, 2026.
In his message, Fr. Villamar commended both parties for approaching the dialogue with an open mind.
“This agreement is the fruit of your discernment, hard work, and openness. I sincerely believe that the goal of the negotiation was never to score points or to defeat one another. It was never a battle to have a winner and a loser. Rather, it was a given encounter, an opportunity to listen, discern, and seek what serves the common good,” said Fr. Villamar.
Mrs. Ordoño gave emphasis on the agreement that stands as proof of what can be achieved through unity, mutual respect, and honest dialogue.
“Ang kasunduang pipirmahan natin ngayong araw na ito ay patunay na sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaisa, respeto, at tapat na komunikasyon, kaya nating abutin ang tagumpay para sa lahat,” said Mrs. Ordoño.
The CBA paves the way for a harmonious working relationship between SLC-SFLU and SLCNTSA, reflecting a strong partnership anchored on dialogue, respect, and shared responsibility to benefit the whole Louisian community.
