To foster community development and support sustainable small business growth, the College of Business Administration (CBA) recently empowered local market vendors through a comprehensive capacity-building workshop series on July 30.
The program focused on equipping micro-entrepreneurs with practical tools to strengthen their startup ventures. Faculty facilitators conducted sessions on Financial Literacy and Business Management to help participants improve their financial decision-making and grow their businesses. The team also conducted a Sanitation and Food Safety seminar specifically designed for local grilling station operators. The session emphasized proper food handling, workplace hygiene, and safe food storage practices to ensure high health standards across market stalls.
Moreover, Dr. Caroline G. Pajimola paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the City Mayor to discuss a proposed collaboration with City Mayor Hermenegildo “Dong” A. Gualberto for the implementation of a capability-building program for local market vendors.
The initiative highlights the institution’s commitment to service-learning by translating classroom knowledge into actionable support for the surrounding community. By equipping vendors with stronger financial skills and improved operational practices, the project aims to foster a healthier, more resilient local economy.
