The Global Affairs Office (GAO) at Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU), headed by Global Affairs Officer Dr. Leo Esteene L. Galap, hosted the Internationalization Appreciation Meeting for Employees and Students on September 24-25, 2024. This event aimed to introduce the school’s internationalization programs, encouraging both employees and students to embrace a global mindset essential for fostering strong international linkages and enhancing mobility opportunities.
Dr. Christine Nabor-Ferrer, Director IV of CHED Region 1, served as the Keynote Speaker during the meeting with employees, accompanied by Dr. Al Gerald S. Barde, Education Supervisor II and Ms. Ailene Flores, Project Technical Staff III. In Dr. Ferrer’s presentation, she highlighted the crucial role internationalization plays for societal transformation, and the different activities and projects of CHED Region 1 along this initiative. She assured the Louisian community that the Commission is committed to supporting the school in its efforts to strengthen its identity as a truly global institution.
