GAO hosts Virtual IAM for Students

As part of the series of activities for Internationalization (IZN) Week, the Global Affairs Office (GAO) will conduct the Internationalization Appreciation Meeting (IAM) for Students on May 4, 2026 at 9:00 AM via Zoom.
This activity aims to enhance the awareness of students across all collegiate programs regarding the institution’s internationalization initiatives. In particular GAO will present the various internationalization programs available for students, including their qualifications, application processes, and implementation cycles. The session will also feature testimonials from students who have participated in mobility programs, such as the Louisian Internationalization Student Ambassador Program, CommTECH, and the Southeast Asian Teacher Programme, sharing their meaningful experiences and insights.
Beyond promoting student awareness, the program likewise seeks to underscore the significance of partnerships, engagements, and internationalization in enriching the overall learning experience and broadening academic and cultural perspectives.
To ensure wide participation, GAO has cascaded the invitation through the academic deans, to be relayed to program heads and, subsequently, to students, ensuring representation from all programs in this important institutional activity.
Student program representatives are encouraged to actively participate in the meeting and deepen their understanding of the institution’s internationalization initiatives and engagement pathways. They are likewise expected to cascade key insights and takeaways to their fellow students within their respective programs, helping extend awareness and engagement across the student body.
