Day 2 of Synergia International Research Conference 2026 fosters global learning, innovation, and sustainable academic partnerships

Day 2 of the Synergia International Research Conference 2026 continued the momentum of academic collaboration and knowledge exchange at Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union with more Plenary Lecture Series featuring distinguished speakers from academic and professional organizations in the Philippines and abroad.
Dr. Pramila Parajuli of St. Xavier’s College – Kathmandu, Nepal delivered her lecture titled “From Classroom to Community: Higher Education Practices for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future – Insights from SXC, Kathmandu.” Her discussion emphasized the role of higher education institutions in promoting sustainability, inclusivity, and community engagement through innovative educational practices and institutional initiatives.
This was followed by the lecture of Mr. Neil T. Awit of the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business, who discussed “Data-Driven Decision-Making for Organizations in the Digital Economy.” His presentation highlighted the importance of analytics, strategic planning, and digital transformation in preparing organizations and future professionals for the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Completing the plenary sessions was Dr. Amado L. Magsino, President of the Philippine Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, who delivered his lecture on “Strategic Innovation and Organizational Learning in Higher Education Institutions.” His discussion centered on institutional adaptability, innovation, and the importance of preparing academic institutions to respond effectively to emerging trends, including advancements in artificial intelligence and digital education.
An interactive open forum followed the plenary lectures, where students, faculty members, researchers, and delegates actively engaged with the speakers through questions and discussions. Topics raised during the forum included preparing students to become industry-ready professionals, sustaining environmental and community-based initiatives, and strengthening institutional readiness amid the continuing advancement of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in education.
The conference also featured the Presentation of Institutional SDG Practices, where participating institutions showcased initiatives and programs aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participating institutions included Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union; University of Northern Philippines; Saint Mary’s University – Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; Saint Louis University – Baguio City; Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation – Pangasinan; Saigon Business School – Vietnam; and St. Xavier’s College – Nepal.
The two-day international conference formally concluded through the closing remarks of Dr. Jose J. Pangngay, Academic Dean of the SLC School of Advanced Studies and Conference Chairperson, who expressed gratitude to the participating institutions, speakers, researchers, organizers, and delegates for contributing to the success of the event.
As the first international research conference hosted by SLC, the Synergia International Research Conference 2026 became a meaningful platform for global academic engagement, research collaboration, and the exchange of innovative ideas, further strengthening the institution’s commitment to research excellence and international partnership.
