SLC strengthens industry partnerships at 17th Industry-Academe Interface

Reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and industry relevance, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) held its 17th Industry-Academe Interface on April 13, 2026, at the SLC Social Center.
This year’s interface was spearheaded by the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) under the leadership of Dean Engr. Melvin Esguerra. The event convened industry partners, departmental deans, internship advisers, and student interns to engage in meaningful discussions on enhancing the institution’s On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs.
A highlight of the event was the roundtable discussion, where participants collaboratively examined current OJT experiences. Industry representatives, internship advisers, and students shared insights and identified key areas for improvement in response to the evolving demands of the professional landscape.
Following the discussions, each group presented significant experiences, strategic recommendations, and actionable solutions designed to strengthen the effectiveness of the OJT programs and better prepare students for real-world challenges.
Through sustained collaboration and open dialogue with industry stakeholders, SLC continues to ensure that its graduates are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to thrive in their respective fields.
