CBA Professor shares expertise via online lecture with the Faculty of St. Claret College

Dr. Juanita U. Gabriel, Professor of the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), delivered an online lecture for the Faculty Development Program of St. Claret College (SCC), India on March 23, 2026. Her presentation, titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Stock Market: Relevance in Business Education in the Philippines – A Perspective of a Trader, Investor, and Business Educator” explored the transformative role of artificial intelligence in financial markets and emphasized its growing significance in shaping contemporary business education.
The session formed part of the Five-Day International Level Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) hosted by the Department of Management & Office of International Relations of SCC, which gathered academic experts and educators from the Philippines, India, Oman, and Turkey. Dr. Gabriel was the first among the six international lecturers to deliver her talk, setting the tone for a dynamic exchange of global perspectives and best practices in business and management education.
In her lecture, she provided insights drawn from her experience as a trader, investor, and business educator, offering participants a practical and interdisciplinary understanding of how AI-driven tools influence investment decisions, stock market comparisons and analysis, and classroom instruction. The discussion underscored the need for business schools to integrate emerging technologies into their curricula to better prepare students for the evolving demands of the global economy.
Her participation in the international program was made possible through the InteLect (International Lecture) Program of the Global Affairs Office, which continues to strengthen academic linkages and promote cross-border knowledge sharing through virtual and in-person engagements.
