Though separated by thousands of miles, Louisians and Japanese students shared one classroom—virtually. On September 10, 25 Grade 9 students of Saint Louis College connected with Johoku High School, Japan, through Hello World, Japan, an intercultural exchange held via Zoom.
Accompanied by Ms. Maria Luz Silapan, Mr. John Carlo Manabat, and Ms. Janette Gaetos, the Louisians engaged in conversations with their Japanese peers, through a sharing of insights about student life and culture.
More than just a cultural presentation, the program highlighted the spirit of global friendship and understanding. As part of the World Classroom Program of Hello World Inc., the exchange continues to provide students with opportunities to connect across borders and broaden their perspectives beyond the walls of the classroom.
