SLC hosts CHED Technical Panel for MA in Guidance and Counseling Evaluation

Saint Louis College (SLC), City of San Fernando, La Union, hosted an evaluation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) technical panel for its Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling program application on May 30. The panel included Ms. Charity Barrera from CHED Central Office, Dr. Irene Oael, Technical Panel Member for Guidance and Counseling, and Dr. Al Gerald Barde from CHED Regional Office I.

The evaluation covered the curriculum, facilities, and overall compliance with CHED standards. Panelists engaged in discussions with administrators, faculty, and heads of key offices, emphasizing the program’s role in developing highly competent and ethical guidance counselors.

SLC, as a Catholic institution, remains dedicated to addressing the increasing need for qualified guidance counselors, reinforcing its commitment to holistic and ethical professional formation.
