The Key Members of the Research Ethics Committee (REC) convened on August 20, 2025, for their inaugural meeting for School Year 2025–2026. During this meeting, Mr. Niño Randy C. Flores, Head of Research Management, presented to the key members the revised research ethics procedures and forms, the updated Code of Research Ethics, as well as the specific duties and responsibilities of REC Key Members, as approved by the Research Council in the previous academic year.
Dr. Leilani O. Sanidad, the appointed REC Chair, affirmed the Committee’s renewed commitment to strengthening ethical practices in research through epistemic responsibility, and upholding the highest standards of research integrity. The meeting concluded with the election of new officers: Dr. Kelvin C. Villanueva, Key Member from CASTE, as Vice-Chair, and Ms. Angelica Kathrina C. Corpuz, Key Member from CLCJE, as Committee Secretary.
