The Global Louisian for Borderless Education Project, or The GLoBE Project, is an IaH initiative of GAO to promote the internationalization of the curriculum of the Basic Education Schools as well as the undergraduate and graduate school programs. This highlights a series of sessions on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and Virtual Exchanges (VE) in partnership with other higher education institutions across the world.
The GLoBE Project creates more opportunities for the students and faculty of SLC- SFLU, as well as its partner institutions, to facilitate classes and manage exchanges by taking full advantage of the use of technology to bring global experiences to classrooms. This initiative further aligns with the aim of SLC-SFLU that through cultural exchanges and learning interactions, global citizenship of the students, faculty, and staff of the institution will be enhanced, which will subsequently impact their learning experiences.
General Objectives
The The GLoBE Project aims to:
- provide opportunities for the students and faculty to interact with other students and faculty from partner HEI’s;
- involve the students from all programs in the internationalization initiatives, specifically COIL/VE, of the institution,
- increase the number of faculty and students participating in internationalization initiatives;
- learn and share best practices on internationalizing classroom learning; and
- set the foundation to internationalize program curriculum.
