The Louisian spirit radiated excellence at the Grand People’s Parade and Sundown Music Arts Festival, two of the key highlights of the 27th Cityhood Foundation Anniversary of San Fernando, La Union. Competing in various categories, Louisians displayed creativity and talent, bringing home multiple accolades.
During the Sundown Music Arts Festival, high school students dominated the Mural Painting (Schools Category), with Joshua Lian Cawilan and Juriel Nia Lubiano winning champion, while Shao Jucar and Liz Jujenne Dacaymat secured 1st runner-up. Meanwhile, the Louisian Theatre Ensemble showcased their storytelling prowess in the Radio Drama Contest.
In the Grand People’s Parade, Louisians stood out with their commanding presence, winning Best in Costume (Schools Category). The SLC Marching Band and some students from the College of Engineering and Architecture also proudly participated in the celebration.
Accompanied by Mrs. Maria Magdalena M. Evangelista, BEdS Principal, and Mr. Jeson A. Mercado, Center for Culture, the Arts, and Heritage (CCAH) Coordinator, the winners and their advisers paid a courtesy visit to Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM, PhD to present their trophies.
