The Global Affairs Office (GAO) and the College of Arts, Sciences, Technology, and Education (CASTE) formally concluded the SEA Teacher Programme for the student-interns from Universitas Nusa Cendana, Indonesia, through a send-off ceremony held on March 24, 2026, at Cafe Luis, Fr. Clement Daelman, CICM, HRM Laboratory Building.
The program commenced with a comprehensive recap of the interns’ activities presented by Dr. Rhonalie Apilado-Dumo, SEA Teacher Programme Coordinator. Throughout their deployment, the interns engaged in classroom observations, teaching demonstrations, cultural immersions, and community involvement initiatives that enriched their professional and personal growth.
In their reflections, the interns shared meaningful classroom experiences, cross-cultural insights, and heartfelt gratitude to the SLC-SFLU community, particularly to the administration led by Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM, PhD. A special presentation by the interns and their student buddies highlighted the strong bonds formed during the exchange.
Dr. Marilou C. Mondina, Dean of CASTE, conveyed her message of appreciation, affirming the value of international academic collaboration. Teacher Education students also presented tokens as symbols of friendship and solidarity. Certificates of completion were subsequently awarded to the interns.
The contributions of college mentors, cooperating teachers, student buddies, and SEA Teacher Programme coordinators were duly recognized for their invaluable support through the awarding of certificate of appreciation.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from the Director of the Global Affairs Office, Dr. Leo Esteene L. Galap, as the Louisian community extended its warmest farewell celebrating the shared learning, cultural exchange, and enduring partnerships fostered through the SEAMEO SEA-Teacher Programme.
