Gawid ti Ayat, Abot Kamay Program is a missionary response to the call of exemplifying the charism missio ad extra to where one is most needed. Needs assessment survey is conducted using existing data and face-to-face interviews with the key informants during the Short Term of Academic Year 2022-2023. The program showcases the unique knowledge, skills, and expertise of each implementer in addressing the specific needs of teachers, pupils and parents of Catbangen Central School, San Fernando City, La Union. It aims to provide help to the teachers, pupils, and parents to alleviate poverty and in the provision of quality education for the learners. The projects include psycho-spiritual formation, livelihood skills training, gift-giving of school supplies and groceries for pupils, and talk on creditworthiness.
The program is made possible through the leadership of Ms. Ann Lorraine J. Malinao and Dr. Mark Anthony D. Latoja as Program Coordinators; Mr. Rodolfo C. Moreno, Ms. Victoria M. Zambrano and Ms. Deserie M. Catchin as Project Leaders under the guidance of the Course Facilitator Leilani O. Sanidad, EdD, JD.
The program is in partnership with the School of Advanced Studies Student Council, Manong B Restaurant and other private companies and government personnel.
