Responsible Consumption and Production

In the spirit of exemplifying the true essence of Bayanihan, through the initiative of Saint Louis College (SLC) High School Batch 1987 and in coordination with the Alumni and Job Placement Office, the installation of water refilling stations across the campus was launched which aims to encourage the community to adopt sustainable practices.

With the theme, “Water for Everyone: A Gift of Love,” this initiative demonstrates the alumni’s profound care for Louisians and the environment as it encourages students and employees to use refillable tumblers for drinking. It inspires us to improvise accessible ways to savor the resources He has blessed us while still safeguarding it for future use. It reflects the divine obligation we have received as messengers of the Church’s mission and as stewards of God’s creations. We are reminded that we are not merely inhabitants of our planet but caretakers entrusted with the sacred duty to nurture and protect the natural world around us.

In addition to this exemplary act, strategies such as minimizing food loss and waste, balancing the use of natural resources to foster growth, recycling, reusing, and reducing waste, conserving water resources, and making environmentally conscious decisions all help foster an environment where present needs are answered while ensuring that the future generations have enough natural resources to enjoy.
