SLC’s Teacher Education Center of Excellence designation extended until 2025

The Teacher Education Council (TEC), has extended the designation of Saint Louis College (SLC) as a Teacher Education Center of Excellence (COE) for another year, from November 1, 2024, to November 30, 2025. The certificate of extension was officially accepted by Dr. Marilou C. Mondina, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, Technology, and Education, and Dr. Rhonalie B. Apilado-Dumo, Professional Education Instructor, during the TEC Awarding Ceremony on November 27, 2024, at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, Rizal Building, DepEd Central Office, Pasig City.

As a Center of Excellence in Teacher Education, SLC is committed to contributing to the development of innovative systems for recognizing and evaluating Teacher Education COEs. The college will also play a vital role in providing technical support for the review and enhancement of the pre-service teacher education curriculum and advancing other priorities set by the Council. To solidify this partnership, SLC will designate a dedicated focal person or team to ensure close collaboration with the TEC in accomplishing its work.

This recognition is an affirmation of Excellence, one of the core values that SLC promotes. As a beacon of wisdom, the school remains resolute in empowering educators and shaping the future of learning in service to the greater good.
