Students from Saint Louis College, taking up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Operations Management, garnered major awards at the Region I Business Pitch Showdown held as part of the 2025 Business Accounting Network and Knowledge Summit on December 12.
Competing under the project title “Seaweed Shift,” the Louisian team clinched the Overall 2nd Runner-Up award in the Business Pitch Showdown, standing out among participating teams across the region.
In addition to the major recognition, the team also received several special awards, including 1st Runner-Up for Best Poster Pitch, 1st Runner-Up for Best Pitch Presenter, awarded to John Melvin Medina, and 2nd Runner-Up for Best Infomercial.
The award-winning team was composed of Raiza Gongora, Kristine Grace Cargo, and John Melvin Medina, whose performance highlighted their creativity, preparation, and business acumen throughout the competition.
Their achievements reflect the competence and dedication of Louisian students in presenting innovative and competitive business concepts, bringing pride to the College and further strengthening its presence in regional academic and entrepreneurship events.
