SLC-SFLU holds Ash Wednesday Masses

Today marks the beginning of Lent, a sacred season of prayer, repentance, and renewal. During this time, believers are invited to abstain from anything that hinders a deeper relationship with Christ and to prayerfully examine what fills their hearts—their desires, intentions, and motivations.
Ashes, a profound symbol of humility, remind Christians of both their origin and their ultimate destiny: “The Lord God formed the man out of the dust of the ground” (Gn 2:7), and “until you return to the ground, from which you were taken” (Gn 3:19).
In receiving these ashes, we are called not only to remember our human frailty, but also to renew our commitment to live lives centered on God, guided by conversion of heart and sincere faith.
