Delegates from the Teacher Education and Hospitality and Tourism Management Programs join the Virtual CommTECH Nusantara 2025: Exploring Indonesia’s Local Languages and Traditional Songs from July 8 to 17, 2025 via the Zoom platform. The program is spearheaded by the Global Engagements Office of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, Indonesia.
The Virtual CommTECH program aims to introduce various Indonesian cultures from all over the world. The program is enriched with art and culture-related activities such as traditional music, dance, food, and many more. At the end of the program, the participants present their creative ideas in a Virtual Project Exhibition.
Demonstrating excellence across various categories, Cyren V. Cacas, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, was conferred the Best Participant Award; Ana Mae G. Fontanilla, Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, received the Best Postcard Award; and Princess A. Laña, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and Dr. Rhonalie B. Dumo-Apilado, Instructor of the Teacher Education Program, was recognized with the Best Presentation Award.
This initiative aligns with the institution’s commitment, through the Global Affairs Office, to provide meaningful opportunities for both students and employees to explore, learn from, and engage with diverse cultures across international borders, thereby fostering holistic development and nurturing a strong sense of global citizenship.
