SLC @ 62 | Day 3 begins with Thanksgiving and celebration of Louisian talents

Saint Louis College’s third day of 62nd Founding Anniversary celebration began with a morning filled with gratitude, faith, and vibrant displays of talents.
The solemn Thanksgiving Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Hirohito M. Bolo, Jr., CICM, Provincial Superior. Anchored on this year’s Founding Anniversary theme, Fr. Bolo’s homily reflected on what it truly means for SLC to be a beacon for Christ’s mission. For SLC, this light is fueled by love: love that serves selflessly, love that forms minds and hearts, and love that reaches out to the margins. Without love, the light fades; with love, the beacon shines ever brighter.
Fr. Bolo was joined in concelebration by Rev. Fr. Elgar Bautista, CICM; Rev. Fr. Daniel Orpilla, CICM; Rev. Fr. Emery Mwako, CICM; Rev. Fr. Fransiskus Gella, CICM; Rev. Fr. Jean Bosco Makolo, CICM; Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM; and Rev. Fr. Rumpearl Tenkings Isaac, CICM.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the program continued with a Cultural Show by the Center for Culture, the Arts, and Heritage. The group provided entertaining performances that highlighted the talents of Louisian students and performers.
As the celebration continues to unfold, today proves that at SLC, thanksgiving and talent go hand in hand—both shining brightly as part of one enduring mission.
