On February 28, 2026, SLC-SFLU, represented by the Natural Sciences Faculty, BEdS Science Faculty, Science Club Officers, Environmental Science Students, CECA Personnel, and LMPA Officers and Enforcers, successfully conducted the activity titled “Strengthening Coastal Resiliency: A Community Extension Kick-off” at the Lingsat Marine Protected Area (LMPA).
A Marine Protected Area (MPA) is a designated section of the ocean managed to conserve its natural resources and biodiversity. MPAs restrict certain activities to allow fish, coral reefs, and other marine life to recover and flourish.
The primary goal of this activity was to identify the specific needs and resources of LMPA, enabling learners and faculty to apply their academic knowledge and technical skills in ways that directly support and enhance the coastal environment through future community extension initiatives.
Join us in this vital effort to protect and sustain our precious marine ecosystems. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for our coastlines and the vibrant life they nurture.
