Taichung, Taiwan – On August 19, 2025, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) and Providence University formally established an academic partnership in Taichung, Taiwan. This collaboration signifies a shared commitment to advancing academic excellence, fostering internationalization, and promoting cross-cultural understanding between the two institutions.
The partnership outlines several key areas of cooperation, including the implementation of short-term academic programs, student exchange, and study abroad opportunities; the development of joint research activities; collaboration on the creation and enhancement of academic programs; staff exchange and mutual institutional visits; and the exchange of academic resources such as publications, journals, reference materials, and other outcomes of teaching and research.
Through this formal agreement, SLC-SFLU and Providence University aim to cultivate meaningful academic engagement, support faculty and student development, and contribute to the global academic community through shared knowledge and innovation.
