CommTECH Camp: SDGs Innovation is an immersive program designed for university students and academics eager to see the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in action. It highlights innovative SDG initiatives implemented at ITS and within the local communities of Surabaya.
The camp gathered students and faculty members from twenty-seven (27) higher education institutions across the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, China, Canada, and Russia. Participants engaged in dynamic lectures, meaningful discussions with key stakeholders, and hands-on community activities. They also experienced Indonesian culture and cuisine while visiting iconic destinations, creating valuable opportunities for intercultural exchange, collaboration on sustainable innovations, and a deeper appreciation of technology’s role in community development.
Ms. Cacas participated in the program through the International Student Mobility (ISM) initiative of the Global Affairs Office, reflecting the College’s continuing efforts to expand meaningful international engagement and provide students with enriching global learning opportunities.
