Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) formally established an academic partnership with St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu, Nepal through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 13, 2025, at the Office of the College President. The MoU was signed by Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM, PhD, College President, on behalf of Saint Louis College, he was joined by Dr. Leo Esteene L. Galap, Director Global Affairs, and by Fr. Augustine Thomas, S.J., Principal, on behalf of St. Xavier’s College.
This partnership underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing international academic cooperation and cultivating a culture of scholarly exchange beyond borders. Through various initiatives such as student and staff mobility programs, guest lectures, staff development programs, joint research and publications, joint conferences, and other collaborative educational undertakings, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) and St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu, Nepal aim to create meaningful opportunities for learning, innovation, and intercultural understanding. These initiatives are envisioned to enhance academic competencies, promote collaborative research, and strengthen institutional capacities that contribute to the global academic community.
Moreover, this collaboration affirms SLC-SFLU’s steadfast dedication to broadening its international networks and linkages as part of its continuing pursuit of excellence and global relevance.
