SURABAYA, INDONESIA — In pursuit of its commitment to provide meaningful international exposures for its faculty, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) sent two professors from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) under the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐈𝐅𝐌) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 of the Global Affairs Office (GAO) to participate in the Short-Term International Program hosted by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia, from August 28 to September 8, 2025.
Ms. Feliza May C. Villanueva, Program Head of Business Administration, together with Dr. Juanita U. Gabriel, Professor of Business Administration take part in the CommTECH Camp Highlight 2025 entitled “𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.” This immersive program is designed to introduce faculty and students to entrepreneurship development in Indonesia, with particular emphasis on strategies to nurture young entrepreneurs at ITS. The program includes workshops, seminars, and hands-on activities facilitated by distinguished resource speakers and academic units of ITS.
Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to interact with ITS students and alumni entrepreneurs, gaining valuable insights from their experiences. Beyond academic engagement, the program also allows participants to experience Indonesian culture and culinary heritage while visiting significant local destinations.
As business educators, this international experience serves not only as a platform for professional growth but also as an avenue to gain a deeper understanding of global practices in entrepreneurship education. By engaging in international collaboration, exposure to diverse entrepreneurial ecosystems, and interaction with academic experts and practitioners from ITS, they are able to broaden their perspectives on innovative teaching and learning strategies.
This, in turn, equips them with the necessary insights and tools to strengthen the integration of entrepreneurship in the curriculum of SLC-SFLU, foster creativity and innovation among students, and inspire future Louisian entrepreneurs to become competitive in both the local and global business landscape.
