In pursuit of expanding meaningful opportunities for its students and faculty, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) officially entered into an academic partnership with Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNDANA), Indonesia on February 12, 2026, through a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
The partnership highlights the implementation of the SEA Teacher Programme, an international exchange initiative that enables pre-service teachers across Southeast Asia to undertake hands-on practicum experiences in another SEAMEO Member Country, Associate Member Country, or Affiliate Member. Beyond the exchange program, both institutions have likewise committed to exploring broader areas of collaboration, including Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), staff and faculty mobility, exchange of scientific materials, publications and academic information, joint scholarly engagements, and the hosting and co-hosting of conferences, among others.
The virtual signing ceremony was attended by members of the administration of both institutions. UNDANA was represented by Dr. Sipriamus Suban Garak, M.Sc, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni; Santri E. P. Djahimo, S.Pd., M.App.Ling., Ph.D., Post Grad.Dip (RMS), Head of the International Relations Office; Prof. Dr. Drs. Malkisedek Taneo, M.Si, Dean of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty; Dr. Damianus D. Samo, M.Pd, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; and Dr. Jakobis J. Messakh, M.Si, Vice Dean for General and Financial Affairs.
This milestone underscores the firm commitment of SLC-SFLU to internationalization by strengthening strategic academic linkages beyond national borders. It further reflects the institution’s continuing efforts to broaden global partnerships, promote cross-cultural engagement, and create collaborative platforms to internationalize the institution’s academic environment.
