As part of its commitment to promoting camaraderie and collaboration through sports, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU), through its College Information and Marketing Office (CIMO), hosted a series of friendly games on September 6, 2025, at the Father Burgos Gymnasium. The event was attended by student-athletes from La Union National High School and San Fernando South Central Integrated School.
With the theme “Fueling Young Dreams, One Game at a Time,” School Champs: Louisian Sports Clinic kicked off with a briefing and a warm-up session, followed by the main games. Students participated in two sporting events: volleyball and basketball. Faculty members from the Physical Education department served as coaches and trainers throughout the event.
After the friendly games, the students were given a campus tour to experience the Louisian spirit and to explore the institution’s physical structures and facilities. The activity concluded with the awarding of certificates and tokens to the participating schools.
The event was made possible through the collaboration of CIMO, the Sports and Physical Education departments, and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology Education (CASTE), led by Academic Dean Dr. Marilou C. Mondina. Refreshing drinks were also provided by Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc., the official sponsor of the activity.
The activity highlighted the institution’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4 – Quality Education, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
