SLC-BEdS honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, observe the Culmination of the Season of Creation

Saint Louis College Basic Education Schools (SLC-BEdS) solemnly commenced the Month of the Holy Rosary and observed the Culmination of the Season of Creation on October 7, 2025, in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pupils and students, teachers, non-teaching staff, and parents gathered as one Louisian community at the SLC High School grounds to express their deep devotion through prayer, thanksgiving, and unity.
The celebration was organized by the CICM Campus Mission Volunteers from the Elementary, Junior High School, and Senior High School Departments, in collaboration with the Religious Education Department (High School).
As part of the celebration, the offerings from the different sections of Grades 7 to 12 will be donated to SLC’s partner agency serving the poor and marginalized. This meaningful act reflects the spirit of Pope Leo XIV’s Apostolic Exhortation Dilexi te (“I Have Loved You”), which emphasizes the “close connection between Christ’s love and His summons to care for the poor.” As Pope Leo XIV beautifully reminds us, “In this call to recognize Him in the poor and the suffering, we see revealed the very heart of Christ, His deepest feelings and choices, which every saint seeks to imitate.” (DT 3)
This joint celebration of the Month of the Holy Rosary and the Culmination of the Season of Creation stood as a testament of faith, gratitude, and stewardship. It also supports Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 1 (No Poverty) by promoting faith-driven education and compassionate outreach inspired by Catholic Social Teaching.
