SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

Saint Louis College is a democratic institution in a democratic milieu. It upholds the freedom of choice; freedom of duly qualified students to choose their schools and the freedom of the College to admit those worthy of admission to and retention on the basis of satisfactory scholastic performance and adherence to duly promulgated school rules and regulations.

In consonance with the objectives of education embodied in the Education Act of 1982, the following are the objectives of the Saint Louis College High School Department:

  1. to continue to provide the basic knowledge and develop the foundation skills, Christian attitudes and values essential to the student’s personal development and necessary for living and contributing to a developing and changing social milieu;
  2. to provide leaning experiences which will increase the student’s awareness of and responsiveness to the changes in and just demands of the society and to prepare him/her for constructive and effective involvement;
  3. to promote and intensify the student’s knowledge of and identification with love for the nation and the people to which he/she belongs;
  4. to promote work experiences which develop and enhance the student’s orientation to the world of work and creativity to prepare him/her to engage in honest and gainful work; and
  5. to discover and enhance the different aptitudes and interests of the student in order to equip him/her with skills for proactive endeavor and/or prepare him/her for more serious formal studies in higher education.
