iSHARE Program Launch Opens New Chapter in Academic Collaboration between SLC-SFLU and UNDANA

Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU), through its Global Affairs Office (GAO), proudly launched the iSHARE Program in a meaningful inaugural session held on March 24, 2026, at the SLC-SFLU Conference Room. The iSHARE (I Support Holistic Approaches in Classroom Engagement Program) brings together faculty members from universities, both local and international, in a collaborative platform for sharing best practices and exchanging discipline-based teaching strategies. By fostering professional dialogue and reflective practice, iSHARE promotes innovation and strengthens pedagogical approaches across programs.
The pioneer session gathered the Teacher Education faculty members together with the Deans of the College of Arts, Sciences, Technology and Education (CASTE), College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), and the School of Advanced Studies (SAS). The partner institution for this engagement was Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNDANA), represented by Dr. Santri E. P. Djahimo, Head of the university’s International Relations Office.
The meeting formally commenced with an opening prayer led by Dr. Andre John Apilado, followed by the introduction of participants from SLC-SFLU by Mr. Justin Ian N. Ogoy and the introduction of the resource person from UNDANA by Dr. Leo Esteene L. Galap.
The session continued as Dr. Rhonalie Apilado-Dumo presented the innovative and best practices of the SLC-SFLU across instruction, research, and extension highlighting the Teacher Education programs. In turn, Dr. Santri shared UNDANA’s institutional best practices along the same areas as well as their university’s initiatives and structured support systems with specific emphasis on the incentives for research productivity and quality assurance mechanisms.
The open forum provided space for meaningful academic exchange. Discussions explored strategies to enhance research productivity among faculty and students, opportunities for Scopus-indexed publications, potential editorial board participation, and alignment of research interests for future joint collaborations. Curriculum evaluation processes and adherence to institutional and administrative standards were likewise discussed and emphasized. The session concluded with the awarding of certificates to Dr. Santri, led by the Academic Deans and the Director of the Global Affairs Office, followed by a photo opportunity to commemorate the milestone.
Through iSHARE, SLC-SFLU affirms that internationalization is not only about mobility but also about mutual learning, shared growth, and building a global academic community committed to excellence in classroom engagement.
