BordX (Borderless Exchange)

The BordX, or the Borderless Exchange Program, is an internationalization program initiative that aims to create a network for education and exchange through universal sharing of resources between and among SLC-SFLU and partner institutions. This project is designed as a short-term faculty exchange program. In particular, this program encourages faculty members to participate in the institution’s efforts to bring in global perspectives to enhance their conceptual lenses by means of engaging in various valuable and relevant international exposures.

Further, it seeks to generate onsite collaborative programs that provide foundational and discipline-specific opportunities for faculty members of SLC-SFLU and partner institutions. These opportunities aim to enrich academic engagement, broaden intercultural perspectives, and address identified areas for growth and development of faculty members across participating institutions. In particular, this program highlights exchange of faculty members from participating institutions to conduct lectures, participate in research-related activities, and the like.

BordX adopts the value statement, “Network for Education and Exchange through Universal Sharing.” This aptly reflects the program’s overarching goal of advancing international faculty mobility through strategic linkages, immersions, knowledge exchange, and collective academic pursuits.

Objective of the Program

The program intends to achieve the following objectives:

  • To build and strengthen global connections by cultivating sustainable partnerships with international and national institutions, thereby fostering collaborative engagement and academic exchange.
  • To generate internationalization learning programs for faculty members through the design and implementation of innovative, inclusive, and culturally responsive educational opportunities, both virtual and in-person, that enhance global competencies and intercultural perspectives.

To create programs that serve as a basis for global research by providing platforms for scholarly collaboration, interdisciplinary dialogue, and the co-creation of knowledge that addresses pressing issues in education and society within an international context.
