A team of Operations Management majors from Saint Louis College earned a spot among the Top 8 qualifiers in the Best Business Idea and Development Award (BIDA) 2025 under the Non-Food Category.
Representing the Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP)–SLC Chapter, the students presented their feasibility study titled “The Seaweed Shift: A Feasible Study of Sargassum Egg Tray in La Union.” The project highlights the use of sargassum, an abundant seaweed in coastal areas, as a sustainable material for egg trays.
Organized annually by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), BIDA is a national competition that recognizes innovative and socially relevant business ideas developed by college students across the country.
