MR. EDGAR C. CANTA
AB Political Science Minor in History
Class of 1987
The very unassuming Student Council President in 1987, Edgar C. Canta rose from the ranks of being Passport Processor in 1989 at the Department of Foreign Affairs Consular Extension Office in his hometown – City of San Fernando, La Union to becoming the Consular Assistant and Attaché Assistant to National Officer and Visa Officer at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, Spain. This is a post he holds from July 2014 to the present.
Having been a successful and multi-awarded outstanding DFA employee, he hopes more Louisians would join him in the foreign service sector.
