Over 205 members of Saint Louis College Alumni Association (SLCAA) from the Elementary School, High School, College, Graduate School, and College of Law have come back home to SLC and attended the 2019 General Alumni Homecoming on Saturday, June 8, at the Father Burgos Gym, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union.

Mr. Butch Zafra, President of the SLCAA, happily announced to the assembly that they have successfully reached and exceeded the 200 mark expected to be in attendance for the occasion.

The Homecoming, with the theme Reconnect. Rekindle. Relive., kicked off with a Thanksgiving Mass at Our Lord’s Transfiguration Chapel, officiated by Rev. Fr. Ramon R. Caluza, CICM, College President.  The program proper was staged after the Mass, featuring stellar performances from SLC’s Center for Culture, the Arts, and Heritage (CCAH). In his message to the Alumni, Fr. Caluza expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the SLCAA for donating funds for the purchase of new sound system and installation of control booth in the Fr. Burgos Gym. The assembly pledged to donate additional fund for the installation of the air-conditioning system of the gym.

Hon. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega, III, Governor of the Province of La Union, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor and Speaker where he fondly walked down memory lane to his college years in SLC, before eventually treading the path to public governance. Special recognition was also accorded to CDT. ICL Dionne Mae A. Umalla, for graduating Valedictorian in the Philippine Military Academy Batch MABALASIK. In her speech, she described how SLC formed her faith through its core values, giving her empowerment and inspiration to hurdle the difficult and challenging years of her cadetship in the Academy.
