Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union is now ISO 9001:2015 Certified

         Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) earns the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management System after it has successfully passed the audit by the National Quality Assurance, Inc. – Philippines on November 26, 2019.The said certificate was awarded during the school’s Employees’ Christmas Party on December 14, 2019 at the Fr. Burgos Gym.

         The tedious yet rewarding ISO journey of SLC, which officially began with the MOA signing with the Consultants on May 16, 2019, was prompted by its steadfast and dedicated commitment in providing quality education to its students. Quality management, as a byword of excellence, has become a part of organizational cultures today including that of the field of education.  Organizations and institutions are now putting greater emphasis on customer focus, process approach in planning, evidence-based decision making, and risk-based thinking as evidence of their transition to quality management.

         Guided by the CICM missionary spirit and steered by its own Vision-Mission, the College has made its processes more effective and has adopted a culture of continual improvement by developing and implementing a system that is in accordance to international quality standards. Likewise, the College now possesses a cutting edge in managing its resources and services for the greater benefit of its students and the community that it serves.

 

Quality Policy of Saint Louis College

           The College adheres to the following quality policy in managing its QMS:

        We, the Saint Louis College of the City of San Fernando, La Union, a collaborative missionary community, shall commit to the principles of quality, excellence, and continual improvement towards integral human formation of the youth to become Christ-centered and competent leaders responsive to the needs of the church and society by:

 

  • engaging in relevant and transformative instruction, researches, and extension programs;
  • providing an animating campus ministry;
  • forging ties with partner agencies; and
  • fostering justice, peace, and integrity of creation;

 

in conformity with all applicable international standards and national statutory and regulatory requirements, and to sustain stakeholders’ satisfaction.

         The quality policy is communicated to all stakeholders, is posted in strategic places in the Campus, and is recited by students and employees of the College during flag ceremony.

         In the ensuing years, SLC will continue to evaluate and improve its Quality Management System as it vows unwavering dedication to its Quality Policy, the heart of its QMS.
