Educational Service Contracting and Senior High School Voucher Program grants now accepting applicants
The Educational Service Contracting (ESC) and Senior High School Voucher (SHS V) Programs are now accepting interested applicants who will be receiving grants beginning School Year 2020-2021.
What is ESC?
Educational Service Contracting (ESC) is a partnership program by the Department of Education (DepEd) aimed at decongesting overcrowded public junior high schools. In ESC, the excess capacities of certified private junior high schools are "contracted" through slot allocations for students who would otherwise have gone to public schools. The slots come with subsidies called ESC grants, and program beneficiaries are called ESC grantees or simply grantees.
Incoming Grade 7 students may apply for ESC. The following are the requirements: 2019 photocopy of BIR Form 2316 (received by BIR) for employed parents, Certificate of Non-Tax Payment from BIR (for parents working abroad), Certificate of Unemployment from the Mayor’s Office (for unemployed parents, photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate, Photocopy of DepEd SF9 (Grade 6 Report Card), 2 pcs passport size ID picture with name tag, and accomplished application form.
What is SHS VP?
Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) is a program of financial assistance wherein subsidies in the form of vouchers are provided to qualified SHS learners in participating private or non-DepEd public SHSs.
All Grade 10 Completers of SY 2019-2020 from public schools and completers from private schools with ESC Certificates are all welcome to apply. Completers from private schools who are not recipients of the voucher may apply via the Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP) at http://ovap.peac.org.ph.
